Last month, representatives of the Performance Review Institute attended a technical day organized by A3TS, the French association for heat treatment and surface treatment, in Paris, France.

A general overview of Nadcap was provided as well as insight into the most common non-conformances identified during Nadcap heat treatment audits. SAFRAN was also represented at the conference and reviewed the company’s position on Nadcap.

Joe Pinto, PRI’s Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, explains: “There’s a number of French suppliers who have not yet attained Nadcap accredited status and our goal is to provide them with information, answer their questions and show them the benefits of accreditation, as well as helping them through the accreditation process. Participating in events like this gives us the perfect opportunity to reach out to those suppliers who are not sure about what Nadcap involves or how to proceed.

“PRI also holds its own events as well – for example, in March there will be two supplier symposia in Asia (one in China organized jointly with COMAC, one in Japan organized jointly with the JAQG). Focusing on France, the 2013 European Nadcap meeting will take place in Paris in early June along with a French language symposium. The goals of the symposia mirror those of our participation in the A3TS technical day, while the Nadcap meeting represents a great opportunity for the global aerospace special process industry to network and continually improve their quality through Nadcap.”
